NIKKI YOVINO, Charged for Falsely Reporting a College Rape Goes to Court

Nikki Yovino a former Sacred Heart University student is accused of making up rape allegations against two football players in order to gain sympathy from a perspective boyfriend. (The two college football players she falsely accused were suspended from their team and saw their scholarships revoked.)  Yovino  is charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. If convicted of the charges, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor, she could face up to six years in prison.
