LAWSUIT: USC Tenured Prof Career Ruined over Snowflake Girl ‘Attempted Kiss’ Claim

Introduction: USC’s disciplinary action against Dr. Erick Guerrero has been a callous and malicious effort by now-former USC President C.L. Max Nikias, and those aligned with him at USC, to save President Nikias’ position at USC by appearing to take a hard stance against alleged sexual harassment after a series of very public failures in leadership. Over the past year, USC’s Office of Equity and Diversity (“OED”) and Office of the Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs have subjected Dr. Guerrero to a systematic and deliberate denial of his rights as an individual and as a USC faculty member. The entire case against Dr. Erick Guerrero is based on the personal opinion of OED investigator. Donna Wagner regarding two USC female graduate students. Over the past year, no one at USC has ever examined the merits or basis of Ms. Wagner’s opinion, as required by the USC Faculty Handbook. In the past 15 months, USC graduate student Karissa Fenwick has been unable to coherently or consistently describe the supposed sexual advance of an attempted kiss, and she has changed her story between interviews with OED investigator Donna Wagner and even between two local newscasts in October 2017, after she filed a lawsuit seeking $1 Million Dollars from USC and Dr. Guerrero. Now that OED and the Vice Provost have refused to reconsider any of their decisions against Dr. Guerrero and have denied him the benefits of his successful grievance to the Faculty Senate and the rights afforded by USC’s internal policies and regulations, and federal and state law, Dr. Erick Guerrero seeks a review of USC’s improper actions by the California Superior Court. Dr. Guerrero petitions for writ of mandate. Petition for Writ Filing  Submitted by Dr. Guerrero’s Attorney’s Mark Hathaway & Jenna Eyrich
