LAWSUIT: Transylvania U. Put Male Immediately in Solitary Confinement After Female’s Baseless Accusation

John Doe has filed a lawsuit against Transylvania University in Lexington Kentucky, claiming he was put in solitary confinement after he was accused of unwanted kissing by a female student. The university threw him into solitary confinement immediately after his accuser asked for a Title IX investigation.

According to Doe’s lawsuit, “Immediately after the female student stated she wanted to pursue an investigation, the university evicted Doe from his dorm room based on nothing more than a meritless allegation, and without providing Doe any due process . . . and the opportunity to be heard.”  In contrast to the accuser’s claim that “the lights were off” and John had disrobed, “video evidence” shows the lights were on and John’s roommate said John was “fully clothed” when he walked in.

After the Title IX investigation against Doe began, he lodged his own complaint, saying that the female student was the one who initiated the unwanted kissing. Doe’s lawsuit claims that the female’s complaint was investigated for two months whereas his complaint was dismissed after only two weeks of investigation.

John Doe wants the university to be held liable for compensatory and emotional damages.
