FORMER ACLU President ‘Strongly Disagrees’ w/ACLU Case Against DeVos. Denounces Kangaroo Courts

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed suit against Betsy DeVos, the Education Secretary for her department’s new Title IX regulations on campus. These have to do with the rights of accusers and the rights of the accused. Nadine Strossen was president of the ACLU from 1991 to 2008. Strossen strongly dissents from the ACLU, and agrees with DeVos, backing the new regulations to the hilt.

Strossen says that Obama-era Title IX regulations have been baleful: for due process, for free speech, and so on. The new regulations, she says, are a significant step forward. She goes into considerable detail on the subject.

Q & A with Nadine Strossen. Hosted by Jay Nordlinger
