Male college students now face expansive consent guidelines that are near impossible to follow…the way in which these consent policies are being implemented denies due process for accused students, who as of now are exclusively male…There is an atmosphere on many campuses where it has become completely legitimate to demonize all male students as dangerous predators who have to be taught not to be rapists. As the mother of two sons, I see no evidence that the average college male is a predatory rapist-in-waiting looking to force himself on innocent coeds.

“Colleges and universities across the nation, in addition to prestigious legal scholars, government officials, and members of the U.S. Congress view the Dear Colleague letters as improperly issued guidance that require constitutionally questionable and ill-conceived policies …”

Variety’s Ella Taylor trashes “The Hunting Ground” as “shoddy journalism” and “a loaded piece of agitprop that plays fast and loose with statistics and our sympathy with victims of campus sexual assault.”

“The stunning things about the Duke lacrosse rape fraud were not merely that a dishonest, politically motivated DA and a rogue cop almost succeeded in framing totally innocent young men as perpetrators of a fabricated gang rape, but mainly the disgraceful conduct of more than 100 Duke professors and administrators and most of the national and local news media,”

The study is deceptive — and in several ways. Firstly, it purports to measure “college party culture” and sexual assault, yet the data the researchers use of rape isn’t confined to college campuses at all…In other words, sexual assaults that happen in the worst part of town in Columbus, Ohio, are used to condemn students at Ohio State. There could have been no sexual assaults whatsoever at Ohio State, but if there were enough in Columbus, it would register in the data as a “spike.”..This isn’t about protecting women. It’s about man-hating.

Sen. James Lankford takes on federal education officials for ‘threatening’ letters to colleges, universities
Lankford said federal education officials have claimed authority over the matters “at-large” under Title IX…new policy mandates by the Education Department actually expand the scope of Title IX “to infringe on constitutionally-protected behaviors and practices”…”multiple universities have reportedly been subject to OCR’s coercive ‘voluntary resolution agreement’ practices,” and offered the example of Tufts University in the Boston area, which faced a threat of having its federal funding terminated in a dispute with OCR over its handling of sexual harassment or assault complaints.
A private university in Ohio expelled two black athletes following a “24-hour sham investigation” into rape allegations by a white female, and tried to force witnesses to change their stories using threats and coercion, according to a lawsuit against the school.

Georgia Tech gets really snippy in its Monday response to the plaintiff’s Dec. 15 motion for a preliminary injunction, saying the school followed all its procedures correctly and that it had a “rational” reason for its “discrimination” against him (yes, the school uses that word)…Georgia Tech is claiming that its own interest in not getting sued by an accuser, or investigated by the federal government for not favoring accusers, outweighs procedural fairness for accused students.

A Georgia Institute of Technology student who sued his school two weeks ago over an expulsion for sexual assault has been reinstated — but not by a judge…”Our client and his family are adamant that no one else suffer through the same painful, protracted and often Orwellian investigative and hearing process, and once we finalize the details of his reinstatement, we will address next steps in pursuing this case,” Miltenberg added.
